Watched Donnie Darko today. nothing less than, holy shit it blew my mind, would suffice to describe that film. I can see why many people have said so much about it. My mission, as with signs, is to find the score. Not the soundtrack, the score. Darko is the type of film that will require multiple watchings just to BEGIN to understand and comprehend what is going on.

AND the website. Brilliant. I spent ages going through it. (not that long.... but i spent a good time.) I'm happy that such quality material is created. I need to submerse myself more into the indie film scene. (i've done a decent job with the music scene) I love films that make you stop and think. Signs was the film before Donnie Darko... and before that I believe it was..... A Clockwork Orange? or Taxi Driver... I'm happy that there exist so many Great films that I have yet to discover. Someday soon....

On a similar note, this film has just enhanced my drive, my mission, to find my life like the movies. Maybe not quite like that film... but the general surreality of film; the directness; the deliberateness. Alas, that shall never be found because, as everyone knows and can attest to, life does not have a script that everyone is aware of and follows. Unscripted material, open to interpretation, and thriving off improvisation. (isn't phenomonology a gas??!!)
